Danny was a PhD student specialising in urban hydrology, who graduated in 2020. He researched the effects of extreme events on water quality in cities. His research was focused on furthering understanding of water quality dynamics during extreme events within urban systems, for which he specifically looked at the effects of floods and droughts on water temperature and organic matter.

Prior to starting his PhD, Danny completed his undergraduate and master’s at the University of Birmingham, studying Environmental Science, and River Environments and their Management respectively. Between this he also worked at the National Institute of Water and Atmosphere (NIWA) in the freshwater science group.
