Project 1)
Drought Sensitivity of Terrestrial Ecosystems in Europe and North America
- Exciting new research field studying both drought sensitivity of river flow and terrestrial ecosystems;
- Unique field observatories: combining data from experimental catchments in Europe and North-America;
- Interdisciplinary, international supervisory team of experts in drought, ecohydrology, climate change.

Projecting hydroclimatic extremes in the Himalayas for the 21st century
- Investigating hydroclimatic extremes affecting over 1 bn people in vulnerable regions;
- Use of cutting-edge climate and hydrological models;
- Working in an international and interdisciplinary research environment
